Police Respond To Shooting In Devonshire
[Updated] Police responded to a firearms incident tonight [Oct 2] on Friswells Road near the junction with North Terrace in Devonshire.
It is understood that multiple gunshots were heard by neighbourhood residents and we unofficially understand that there have been no reports of injury at this time.
Police have cordoned off the area, with crime scene tape visible, while they conduct their investigation. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update: A police spokesperson said, “Police responded to a report of a firearms incident that took place at 10:40pm on Friswells Hill Road and North Terrace in Devonshire.
“Upon police arrival it was ascertained that a gunman discharged a firearm in the area however, no one was hurt but a car was damaged.
“Police have commenced a investigation into the incident and we are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact police on 295-0011.”
