Somersfield Academy will be holding an open house event for prospective families with students interested in attending the new Somersfield Academy International Baccalaureate [IB] Diploma Programme [DP] on Thursday [Oct 18]
A spokesperson said, “The open house begins at 5:45pm sharp and will include an open discussion format. This discussion will be an opportunity to ask questions of staff and existing students, to discover the new features of the purpose-built facility, and give students insight on the launch of the IB Diploma Programme.
Kate Ross, who recently joined the Somersfield Team as the Head of the IB Diploma Programme, said, “An established IB MYP school, Somersfield Academy’s mission is fully aligned with that of the International Baccalaureate Organization as evidenced in its teaching practices and inclusive ethos. The addition of the DP is a natural transition and I am excited to be leading the school through this development.
“The IB Diploma Programme is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with rigorous course work and final examinations that prepare students, aged 16-19, for success at university and in life beyond.”
