Wheatley Appointed Supreme Court Registrar

Governor John Rankin announced today [Oct 24] that he has appointed Ms Alexandra Wheatley to be the new Registrar of the Supreme Court.

Mr Rankin said: “I am very pleased to announce Ms Alexandra Wheatley’s appointment as Registrar of the Supreme Court under Section 89 of the Constitution, following consultation with the Chief Justice and the recommendation of the Judicial and Legal Services Committee.

“She is highly qualified to take on the challenges of this role, not only from her current experience as Acting Registrar and Assistant Registrar but also from her wider legal experience since being called to the Bermuda Bar in 2007. I wish Ms Wheatley well in her new position.”
