Bermuda Netball League: Tigers Defeat Heat

November 12, 2018

Rain interrupted the latest round of the Bermuda Netball Association Senior league play this weekend, but not before the Phoenix Heat suffered their first loss at the hands of Lindo’s Tigers, who recorded a 32 – 26 victory.

The Heat hadn’t lost a game in a few seasons, but with coach Anthony Mouchette back on island to take over his team, the Lindo’s Tigers were ready for the fight. Twice within the match the teams were tied at 17 all and 21 all, and halfway through the third quarter, the Lindo’s Tigers found their momentum and soon after that Heat star player Dominque Richardson, who was a shooter on the night, picked up an injury.

The Lindo’s Tigers were led to victory by MVP Jahkenya Trott, while Richardson was named the Heat MVP.

At the conclusion of the match the rain came in spurts forcing officials to abandon the rest of the scheduled games.
