Charities To Benefit From ‘Fuelling 4 A Cause’
RUBiS Energy Bermuda announced the launch of the third “Fuelling 4 a Cause” Charity Giveaway.
Mr. Graham Redford, Managing Director of RUBiS, said, “We are pleased to be able to once again provide the RUBiS Fuelling 4 a Cause competition that will benefit 12 local charities.
“Residents may recall that as part of RUBiS’ 10th Anniversary of operations in Bermuda in 2016, we decided to expand our normal charitable giving by developing a competition that financially benefitted local charities and promoted the services that each provides.
“Now in its third year, we are delighted to report that in the past two years, this initiative has provided over 36 charities with more than $50,000. In 2018, we are hopeful that with the motoring public’s support and the support from these amazing charities, we will be able to donate even more.
“For 2018, we invited charities that have an alignment with the theme that was selected to be part of the promotion. The theme for 2018 is protection of health and our environment.
“Protection of health and the environment are two of four core underlying principles that govern everything we do. These are fundamentally the most important operating standards that we have, standards that every one of our employees must commit to, and two areas that should resonate with every resident.”
Jermaine Simons, Sales Manager of RUBiS explains how the promotion will work, saying: “From now through to December 12th, 2018, RUBiS will donate 5c per US Gallon of fuel sold at its network of service stations.
“The process is simple. Fuel up, then visit our Facebook Page and vote for your favourite charity by clicking the Like icon. A photo album has been created on the RUBiS Facebook page containing all 12 of the 2019 RUBiS Calendar Headline photos and we encourage the general public to vote for their favourite charity by clicking the Like icon. The total donated will be pro-rated amongst the twelve charities based upon the amount of Likes that are captured for each image. There will not be any purchase requirement for persons to vote.
“To make it even more fun for our RUBiS Rewards Members, there is also the opportunity to win free fuel! Every 200th purchase made by a RUBiS Rewards Member buying a minimum of $20 in fuel will be given an Option Coupon.
“The Option Coupon gives the winner the choice of redeeming the Coupon instantly for $20.00 in free fuel; or they can return the Option Coupon to RUBiS in exchange for their agreement to have their photo shared on our Facebook page. For anyone who chooses to return the coupon, they will be rewarded with a $100.00 RUBiS Fuel Gift Card for them and a $100.00 donation to the participating charity of their choice.
The twelve participating charities that also feature in the RUBiS 2019 Calendar are: Action on Alzheimer’s & Dementia, Bermuda Organ Donor Association, Bermuda Sloop Foundation, Centre against Abuse, Hamilton Lions Club, Tomorrow’s Voices, Open Airways, Summerhaven, Westmeath, The Family Centre, St. John Ambulance and PALS. Additionally, each of the twelve will have a featured tag day in the RUBiS Network during 2019.”
