St George’s Parish Council Donates To Schools

The St. George’s Parish Council recently presented Clearwater Middle School, St. David’s Primary School and St. George’s Preparatory School each with a donation of $500.00.

Clearwater Middle School Deputy Principal Mr. Dean Foggo said, “On behalf of the principal, staff and students of Clearwater Middle School, we extend sincerest thanks to the Council for their donation.”

“He stated how they were were appreciative of this contribution and will be using the funds to purchase specific reading material for their M3 students, to inform them of significant changes that impact the world, and some topics already suggested have been fintech and careers in social media.

“They hope that the Council’s generosity will spark further creativity, innovation and out-of-the-box thinking in our future leaders”

Mr. Gladstone Thompson, Principal of St. David’s Primary School on behalf of the School family, thanked the Council for their kind generosity of the donation, and said they “will utilize the funds to carry out the School’s Mission Statement which is to create a positive learning environment and provide each child with an opportunity for maximum social and academic growth”.

Ms. Gail Smith, Principal on behalf of the St. George’s Preparatory School stated, “Thank you so much for the generosity of the St. George’s Parish Council and were so surprised and delighted to receive this donation of $500.00 which would be used for the purchase of books for our library.”

Chairperson Roslyn O’Brien noted that in June the Council made a $500.00 donation to the East End Primary School to go towards their Primary 5 and Primary 6 school trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to visit an Amish Home and Farm and also included museums and other places of interests in the Washington, D.C. area.”
