James And Cipres Win French Elite Skating Title

Vanessa James and Morgan Cipres continued their winning ways as they skated to victory in the French Elite Skating Championships held at the Vaujany Ice Rink in France.

The pair won both the short programme and free skate, earning a total of 240.97 points to claim their place at the top of the podium.

Ms James is Bermudian and lived here as a child, and now represents France where she competes at the highest levels, skating in the World Championships and the Olympics, where she, and her former partner Yannick Bonheur, became the first black couple to compete in Olympic pairs skating.
