  3. DeOnion says:

$10,000 basically – hope that hotel was good! Better than my apartment for sure!

  4. Red rose says:

Good grief! $10k? And for what – to snub an OTC meeting? Champagne socialism

  5. Concerned Bermudian says:

You need to pay us back! This is insane! Almost 6 grand to fly to London!!??? WTH?? My family of 5 flies to UK for that amount! This is disgusting.

    • Trufth says:

I agree! This is disgusting. You work for us and on our dime. Our kids shouldn’t be going without while you spend our money like it grows on trees. We live pay cheque to pay cheque while you spend our money on yourself. We go without yet you spend like this.

Are you not ashamed of yourself? Are you not embarrassed? You lot disgust me.

  6. Hmmmm says:

So 1st class seat and public schools are asking for donations to get supplies… PLP working for all of us?

  7. comfortably numb says:

Heaven forbid any minister ever traveling economy like the rest of us.

  8. somuchless says:

For that price did he fly on one of Santa’s reindeer? Mercy

    Bermuda you better wake up.

  9. Skeptical says:

    6 days 3,300 hotel? 5700 airfare?

  10. Stormy daniels says:

Keep going you bies. Your time is going to be short.

  11. Not so Safe says:

Dec 1 – Dec 6. If left Bermuda on the 1st (a Saturday) would arrive on Sunday so that means four nights hotel at $832.00 per night and four days of meals at $183.00 per day. Nearly $1,000.00 per day ! Seriously, and they snubbed the Wednesday meeting so lets take this as a two day meeting – could have come back on the Wednesday we had to spend an extra $1,000.00 just so he could stay in London for one more day ? Could he not have flown World Traveler Plus and saved $3,000.00 on airfare and $1,000.00 on hotels and meals ?

  12. Adrienne says:

WOW keep spending our TAX DOLLARS ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN PUTTING BERMUDA IN A HOLE AND THINKING OF YOURSELVES ONLY WHAT A SURPRISE YOU ARE ALL GETTING FATTER OFF US TAX PAYERS WHILE OTHERS GO JOBLESS AND HUNGRY

  13. gustav says:

    don’t complain

    • wahoo says:

I didn’t vote for this I knew better but hey, the base do not even stay informed or even understand 25-11. Hope he stayed away from that cereal bar.

  14. James says:

This is an obscene cost for 5 nights.

  15. dondererd says:

Has there been a report on what was achieved at this OT meeting?

  16. J Austen says:

That amount is utterly preposterous. Economy plus instead of business class, stay in any Hilton, and all in well under 3 grand. Odd that his ground transportation was so low, did he take the tube? Or was this in fact the same trip he accompanied the Premier on so things like limos may have been shared? If so, then 20 grand of taxpayers money wasted.

  17. John E. Thorne says:

I am disgusted but not surprised!

  18. LaVerne Furbert says:

What’s your point Bernews? Did you question the Minister before publishing the information? Or does it matter?

    • Trump supporter says:

      And your point is??

    • J Austen says:

I think the Hon. Rolphe Commissiong had a point when he says that the underlying problem is financial inequality. Mrs. Furbert, never was there a more blatant example than this particular jaunt. It is a shame that Mr. Commissiong did not say more about ejecting the Pharisees within his own Temple.

    • Whiner says:

I wonder if Laverne ever asked what the point was in knowing OBA travel costs?

    • Question says:

The point is to make us aware of how our money is being wasted Lavvy.
