Sailors Continue In Orange Bowl Regatta Miami

The 2018 Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta continued off the shores of Miami, with Bermuda fielding a large team of sailors.

A total of nine races have been sailed in the 212 Optimist Fleet with Sebastian Kempe still leading the Bermuda Fleet, where he is now in 9th place overall after starting the day in 2nd with 85 points. Kempe is also in 7th place in the Red Fleet.

Rachael Betschart is the next Bermuda sailor in 63rd with 221 points, Betschart is in 42nd place in the Red Fleet, and holding down the 66th overall position is Paul Rodrigues with 246 points and 22nd in the Blue Fleet.

Ethan Thompson is currently 45th in the Blue Fleet and 116th overall with 254 points, in the 51st position in the Blue Fleet and 127th overall is Kipling Rossouw with 287 points, and Sophia Dias is 9th in the White Fleet and 146th overall with 333 points.

Sarah Davis is in 11th place sailing in the White Fleet and 156th place with 359 points, Ben Redburn is 165th overall and 69th in the Blue Fleet with 388 points, and Trey Whaley is holding down the 84th place in the Red Fleet and 175th overall with 405 points.

Jack Adderley is the new leader of the Bermuda Fleet competing in the Optimist Green Fleet after nine races sailed. Adderley finished the last four races in 4th place and has 97 points, Jade Smith is in 18th place with 152 points.

Trystan Hocking is the next Bermuda sailor and 21st overall with 167 points, while Luis Miguel Power is 23rd with 175 points. Sam Redburn is 27th with 201 points, Oliver Soares is currently 32nd with 238 points, with Tajahri Rogers 34th with 260 points.

Ciarra Wells is 35th with 284 points, Brianna Smith is 39th with 290 points, while Alexander Pigott is 47th with 341 points, Arianna Smith is holding down the 49th spot with 372 points

Namazio Dill is currently in 53rd place with 405 points and A’Marley Raynor is 57th with 431 points.
