Video: Sunday Dec 9th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Dante Leverock has been signed by the Sligo Rovers team in Ireland, PartnerRe donated $240,000 to schools in their ‘Dollars for Hours’ project, Bermuda won the Caribbean Equestrian Association’s Regional Jumping Challenge, and ‘This Ocean Life’ interviewed Bermudian Weldon Wade were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, James Stout won a doubles tournament in New York, Kenny Leseur won the Golf Tournament Falcons Fire age group in Florida, the Hamilton Princess Christmas tree and gingerbread house lighting was held, and the Goslings to Fairmont Southampton Road is offering a draw prize of a free trip to Arizona.
Other good news stories included the BNT Christmas Walkabout, the Bermuda Montessori School 2 Christmas hamper donation initiative, Castle Masters staff becoming SCARS certified, Peter Barrett and Chubb helping to provide shirts for blood donors and HSBC donating $10,000 to the Salvation Army.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Home-Grown Alternatives Show, the Hamilton Princess gingerbread house, the Clearwater Middle School Seniors Tea, and the Dockyard tree lighting ceremony.
