Traffic Advisory For 2019 Marathon Weekend
There will be traffic diversions and parking restrictions in effect due to the 2019 Bermuda Marathon Weekend which will see the Front Street Mile on Friday night [Jan 18], the 10K on Saturday [Jan 19], and Marathon & Half Marathon this Sunday [Jan 20]. The full traffic advisories from the police are below.
Traffic Advisory: 2019 Invitational Front Street Mile
The motoring public is reminded that traffic diversions and parking restrictions will be in effect for the 2019 Invitational Front Street Mile running races tonight.
The event is part of the Bermuda Marathon Weekend taking place from Friday, January 18th until Sunday, January 20th.
Front Street Mile, City of Hamilton
Traffic entering the City of Hamilton along Crow Lane will be diverted up Spurling Hill and along Reid Street from 6pm until at least 10pm.
Sections of Roads Closed
Front Street between Par-La-Ville Road and the foot of Spurling Hill will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6pm until 11pm.
Burnaby Street, Parliament Street, Court Street and King Street between Reid Street and Front Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6pm until 11pm.
No Parking
- Front Street between Par-La-Ville Road and the foot of Spurling Hill from 4pm until 11pm.
- Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Front Street from 4pm until 11pm.
- No. 1 Car Park – No parking after 2pm. Gates will be locked at 4pm until 11pm.
- No. 5 Car Park – No parking after 2pm and no access from 4pm until 11pm.
Patrons of businesses along Front Street East are reminded that all vehicles must be promptly removed from that section of Front Street by 4pm.

The motoring public is reminded that traffic diversions and parking restrictions will be in effect for the 2019 Bermuda 10K run & walk this Saturday.
The event is part of the Bermuda Marathon Weekend taking place from Friday, January 18th until Sunday, January 20th.

Sections of Roads Closed
- Parsons Road between Roberts Avenue and Montpelier Road from 8:45am until 10:15am.
- Montpelier Road between Parsons Road and Middle Road from 8:45am until 10:15am.
- Frog Lane between Palmetto Road and Parsons Road from 8:45am until 11am.
- Old Military Road between Parsons Lane and Frog Lane from 8:45am until 11am, except for access to Cedar Park Estate.
- Middle Road between Corkscrew Hill and Flatts [near Harrington Sound Road junction] from 8:45am until 10:15am.
- North Shore Road between Middle Road, Flatts to the Barkers Hill round-a-bout from 9am until 11am in a westbound direction.
- Gymnasium Road between Frog Lane and Headquarters Hill from 8:45am until 11:30am.
No Parking from 8am until 11am
- Parsons Road from Roberts Avenue to Montpelier Road.
- Frog Lane from Palmetto Road to Parsons Road.
- Montpelier Road from Parsons Road to Middle Road.
- Gymnasium Road from Frog Lane to Fort Hill Road.
- Flatts Village from North Shore Road [St. James Court] to the Middle Road junction.
- Fort Hill Road from Alexandra Road to Gymnasium Road.

Bermuda Marathon & Half Marathon
Motorists entering the City of Hamilton from Pitts Bay Road will be diverted up Woodbourne Avenue, down Gorham Road, left on Bermudiana Road, and right onto Church Street, in order to gain access to city churches and other locations. Likewise, motorists entering the city from Crow Lane will be diverted up Spurling Hill.
Sections of Roads Closed
- Crow Lane between Spurling Hill and the City of Hamilton’s eastern boundary on Front Street from 7:30am until 8:30am.
- Corkscrew Hill between Middle Road and Crow Lane from 7:30am until 8:30am.
- Trimingham Road between north round-a-bout and south round-a-bout [in a southerly direction] from 8am until 9am.
- Front Street between Bermudiana Road and Court Street from 7am until 4pm.
- Bermudiana Road between Front Street and Gorham Road from 7am until 4pm.
- Par-La-Ville Road between Church and Front Streets from 7am until 4pm.
- Burnaby Street between Reid and Front Streets from 7am until 4pm.
No Parking
- Front Street between Bermudiana Road and Court Street on both sides of the road, from 4am until 4pm.
- Bermudiana Road between Front Street and Gorham Road on both sides of the road from 4am until 4pm.
- Rosebank Road between Par-La-Ville and Bermudiana Roads on both sides of the road from 4am until 4pm.
- Par-La-Ville Road between Church and Front Streets on both sides of the road from 4am until 4pm.
