197 Goals Scored In Netball Triple Header
The Bermuda Netball Association’s Senior League Netball Season continued with make-up matches at the Bernard Park, with a triple header resulting in 197 goals on the evening.
In the opener the Storm Lightning defeated Robin Hood 45 – 25, MVP Diara Benjamin led the Storm Lightning to victory with 30 goals, while Zakiyah Durham added 15 goals, Robin Hood got 15 goals from MVP Charlie Bridgeman and Jess Arneil added 10 goals.
The Phoenix Heat defeated the Storm Thunder 53 – 13 in the second game of the night. Danielle Raynor scored 48 goals for the Phoenix Heat, and they also got 5 goals from Arkeita Fubler, while Dominique Richardson was named the teams MVP. The Storm Thunder got 6 goals from Selah Tuzo, 4 goals from Kaamilah Nasir and 3 goals from Nabiilah Nasir, with Kaylee Leman named the teams MVP.
The final game of the night was worth the wait as it was won by one goal as the Lindo’s Tigers edged the North Village Lady Rams 31 – 30. MVP Jakenya Trott scored 31 goals for the Lindo’s Tigers, while the North Village Lady Rams got 16 goals from MVP Darrika Simons, 7 goals from Mischelle Romaine, while Jahtuere Trott added 4 goals and Nikita Trott scored 3 times.
