Appearing in Magistrates Court, two men denied assault charges following an alleged dispute over a dog which resulted in their neighbour ending up in the hospital with a fractured nose.

Meshack Crichton, 20, and Kevin Davis, 57, both of Warwick, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to their neighbour on Random Lane.

The court heard the dispute allegedly started when the neighbour complained about the defendants’ dog being in his yard. It escalated, and the victim ended up going to the hospital with a fractured nose and multiple cuts and abrasions.

The defendants were released on $2,500 bail with like surety. There were ordered not to have any contact with the complainant, and to keep their dog out of his yard.

The next court appearance for this case is scheduled for March.
