Four Games Played In Bermuda Snooker League

Four more matches were played across the island in Bermuda Snooker League play, with three games decided by a single point, while the other won won by a clean sweep.

Sandys Boat Club One 5 – Warwick Workman’s Club Two 0

The opening two matches of this encounter saw the two players who represented Bermuda at the 2019 Pan American Snooker Championships in Houston, Texas earlier this month.

Paul Fedden gave Sandys Boat Club a 2 – 0 lead after defeating Steven Bremar 69-24 & 64-33, Martin Siese made it 3 – 0 to Sandys Boat Club after he defeated Ray Desilva 60-24 and Peter Bromby defeated Zane Desilva 33-31 to give Sandys Boat Club a 4 – 0 lead. The doubles team of Siese and Bromby made it a clean sweep for Sandys Boat Club after they defeated the Desilva pair 44-22.

Spanish Point Boat Club Two 3 – Warwick Workman’s Club One 2

This match came down to the doubles with Spanish Point Boat Club Two edging the Warwick Workman’s Club One team 3 – 2. Kidd Mouchette gave Warwick Workman’s Club the lead after he defeated Billy Wotton 52-15, Scott Barnes drew Spanish Point Boat Club level defeating Richard Burton 53-44, and the match between Spanish Point Boat Club’s John Orr and Warwick Workman’s Club’s Gary Bascombe ended in a draw as Orr won the first game 45-43 and Bascome won the second game 62-57.

With the score deadlocked at 2 – 2, the Spanish Point Boat Club Doubles team of Wotton and Barnes won the match after they defeated Mouchette and Burton 49-13.

Watford Sports Club 3 – Royal Artillery Association 2

Watford Sports Club took a 1 – 0 lead when Keino Zuill defeated Kyle Williams 54-30, and the lead was doubled when Aaron Bean defeated Jelani Hollis 62-17. Royal Artillery Association’s Fred Richardson and Watford Sports Club’s Winslow Smith split their game as Watford Sports Club would lead 3 – 1 at the conclusion of this match. Richardson won the first match 46-26, but then Smith won the second game 73-27.

In the Doubles match Royal Artillery Association’s Hollis and Williams defeated Bean and Zuill 53-43.

Spanish Point Boat Club One 3 – Sandys Boat Club Two 2

This match also come down to the doubles to decide, with Tyler Siese giving Sandys Boat club the lead when he defeated Todd Dziak 47-37, but Ed Gumbs from Spanish Point Boat Club leveled the match at 1 – 1 when he defeated Jim Mclenan 73-10. Stewart Greenslade from Spanish Point Boat Club split his two games with Chris Bromby from Sandys Boat Club to leave the math level at 2 – 2. Greenslade won the first game 51-30, but Bromby won the second game 44-34.

In the deciding doubles match, Spanish Point Boat Club pair Gumbs and Dziak defeated Siese and Mclenan 60-38.
