‘They Are Not Welcomed On Our Property’

February 3, 2019

The Southampton Rangers management said they “strongly condemn the anti-social behavior that marred the clubs grounds,” and noted that the individuals involved in the incident are being informed, via registered letters, that they are not welcome on the property.

This follows after an incident in which six people were injured and at least six people were arrested, and as a result, the police used their authority to close Southampton Rangers Sports Club from 10pm Saturday, February 2nd until 10pm Sunday, February 3rd.

A spokesperson said, “The Southampton Rangers Sports Club management strongly condemn the anti-social behavior that marred the clubs grounds after a fundraising event had concluded early Saturday morning.

“The Management team has worked diligently since the most recent AGM to eliminate any forms of anti-social behavior which has resulted in six ban letters being handed out in that short period of time.

“The new Disciplinary Team has been given the names of the individuals involved in this incident and registered letters are being mailed out this week to inform the persons involved that they are not welcomed on our property.

“It should be noted that a security team was in place along with a Police presence requested for closing as is standard for any event held at our club.

“As was reported in some media outlets it has been confirmed that the same individuals that caused the closure of a Hamilton establishment last week have been arrested in connection with this incident.

“We are appealing to the Police and the Courts to do their utmost in assisting the Community Clubs and other establishments in preventing incidents like this from happening again where a few individuals are traveling the island intent on causing trouble.

“The Management Team have been encouraged by the support we have received from our surrounding community.

“We ask that if anyone is able to assist in any way around the club that you reach out as we have learned that many hands make light work and that it will take all of us to stamp out these acts of anti-social incidents within our community. If you are willing to assist in any way the Management Team can be reached by email at southamptonrangers@gmail.com.”

Trust me, they’ve been paying attention but they cant control what they allow. If youre going to allow deliquents you’ll persist as a deliquent club

These individuals, if they don’t make a turnaround will face some serious challen ges and bring havoc over and over again, I hope they will see where their mindset is now.

Well it is about time!!! It is well known who these individuals are and their intentions but better late than never. Make them feel isolated but at the same time show them love! It is quite obvious they are miss guided and lost.May they find civilization!

A police service is as only as good as the community it serves. As “I And I”(above) everyone knows but not everyone steps up to assist or help. Thank you BPS for the thankless dangerous job you do. 24hr closures are too short

  5. Dread says:

You can’t police stopping banned people from coming on ya property! This is just to stop the public backlash they are receiving!!

  6. becareful of the truth says:

Maybe their pictures should be circulated and banned from ALL Clubs as should be the Rule especially with the Sports Clubs.
They (Sports Clubs) should join forces to support one another so ALL their voices become ONE.

  7. Triangle Drifter says:

Whether the club enforces this ban remains to be seen. I am not so sure that their names should be made available to the general public though in many places their names & faces would be all over the various media by now.

Their names should be given to any other club or licensed establishment that cares to enquire. They are free to ban whoever they like.
