Workshop On Bluebird Nest Box Construction

February 18, 2019

The Bermuda Audubon Society is holding its annual Bluebird nest box construction workshop in the Jack King Building at Botanical Gardens on Saturday 23 February starting at 10.00am.

A spokesperson said, “It is nearly Bluebird nesting season and time to put up nest boxes! The workshop will include a brief talk about Bluebirds, why they require boxes and how to monitor the box during nesting season for best results.

“Participants can purchase a kit for $25 at the workshop and will receive instruction and assistance to build it. Please bring a hammer if you have one; a few will be available to borrow. Families are particularly welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.”

Registration for the workshop should be made in advance by emailing info@audubon.bm or by calling 238 8628.
