Football: Premier, First Division Weekend Results

Footballers in the Premier and First Division were in action this weekend, with Vasco, Southampton Rangers, St. David’s, Dandy Town Hornets, Devonshire Cougars, and BAA all earning wins, while two other matches ended in draws.

First: Vasco 2 – Young Men Social Club 0

At the Bernard Park, Vasco picked up their second victory in two games as they defeated Young Men Social Club 2 – 0. After a scoreless first half Kyle Godfrey scored in the 48th minute and Ricardo Ponte doubled the lead in the 62nd minute.

First: Flanagan’s Onions 0 – Southampton Rangers 1

After a scoreless first half, Donte Brangman scored for the Southampton Rangers in the 66th minute as they moved to the top of the Standings with this 1 – 0 win over the Flanagan’s Onions.

First: St. David’s 4 – Hamilton Parish 2

At Lord’s in St. David’s, St. David’s defeated Hamilton Parish 4 – 2. St. David’s got 2 goals from Jamal Woodley and single strikes from Irvon Vanputton and Kontai Burton, while Hamilton Parish got goals from Jeremiah Steede and Chris Caisey.

First: Devonshire Colts 1 – Somerset Eagles 1

At the Police Field, the Devonshire Colts and Somerset Eagles drew 1 – 1. Chemari Henry gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 14th minute, but Anwar Telford equalized for the Somerset Eagles in the 68th minute to earn the draw.

Premier: North Village Rams 1 – Robin Hood 1

At the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams and Robin Hood played to a 1 – 1 draw. Antwan Russell would give Robin Hood the lead when he converted from the penalty spot in the first half, but Keith Jennings equalized for the North Village Rams when he converted from the penalty spot in the second half.

Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 5 – X-Roads 2

At the St. John’s Field, Angelo Simmons scored a hat-trick to lead the Dandy Town Hornets to a 5 – 2 win over X-Roads. Kwame Steede and Daeshun Butterfield added a goal each, while Teiko Lowe and Tymon Daniels scored a goal each for X-Roads.

Premier: Devonshire Cougars 2 – Boulevard Blazers 0

At the Devonshire Rec. the Devonshire Cougars defeated the Boulevard Blazers 2 – 0. The Devonshire Cougar got a goal from Allan Douglas and Chae Brangman.

Premier: BAA 4 – Paget Lions 1

BAA defeated the Paget Lions 4 – 1 at the BAA Field. Keishen Bean would score twice, both from the penalty spot, while Jamal Lottimore and an own goal also accounted for the BAA goals. Tahjae Welch would score the lone goal for the Paget Lions.
