Appearing in Court, a 55-year-old Sandys man denied sending a letter to an MP threatening to kill someone.

Perry Smith also pleaded not guilty to being in a public place with an offensive weapon.

It is alleged that on or around August 10, 2018, Mr Smith sent a letter to MP and lawyer Michael Scott threatening to kill a person.

He was also charged with having an offensive weapon in a public place as he was allegedly caught with a knife sharpener at Mangrove Bay in September 2018.

His trial date is scheduled for April 22, 2019.
