Lindo’s 10k Running Road Race And Walk-a- Thon

Sunday, 3rd March 2019

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists there will be a Running and Walking Road Race from Lindo’s Family Foods Middle Road, Warwick to Lindo’s Market, 4 Watlington Road, Devonshire.

The racing event is to take place Sunday, 3rd March, 2019 from 8:30am am until 12:00pm. Motorists are to use caution when passing the participants, and to abide by the traffic management signs posted along the route during the times of these events.

The events will have official Race Marshals and Police present to manage traffic flow along the route.

Motorists must also note that runners and walkers will be using the following sections of roadways for the running and walking events.

Running Event

Running participants will run from the Lindo’s Family Foods, Middle Road, Warwick in an easterly direction along Middle Road to the South Road, and Middle Road junction, then travel in an easterly direction along South Road, Paget, and Devonshire to the Collectors Hill, Smith’s junction, then travel in an easterly direction along Collectors Hill, then in an easterly direction along Verdmont Road to Middle Road, Smith’s, then travel in a westerly direction along Middle Road Smith’s, then in a westerly direction along Middle Road, Devonshire until reaching Chaingate Hill, then traveling in a southerly direction along Chaingate Hill to Watlington Road East, then travel in a westerly direction along Watlington Road East and ending the race at the Lindo’s Market Ltd. Devonshire store.

Walking Event

Walkers participating will walk from the Lindo’s Family Foods, Middle Road, Warwick in an easterly direction along Middle Road to the South Road, and Middle Road junction, then travel in an easterly direction along South Road, Paget, and Devonshire to the Brighton Hill junction, then travel in a northerly direction along Brighton Hill to Watlington Road East, then travel in an easterly direction along Watlington Road East and ending the race at the Lindo’s Market Ltd. Devonshire store.

In addition, the Bermuda Police are hereby authorized to ‘Close off’ or ‘Open’ streets or portion of streets and restrict parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.

The Ministry would like to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
