“Blockchain technology and digital currencies are poised to usher in a new era of innovation, efficiency, inclusivity, and transparency for the banking and financial services industries. Today, a confusing web of asymmetrical policies, legislation, technologies, and jurisdictions make for a complex business and regulatory landscape.

“The B3 Summit is a forum free of ticket sales, sponsors, or pitches, created to facilitate in-depth discussions, collaboration, and problem-solving among industry and policy leaders. The goal of the Summit is to accelerate the use and impact of blockchain and digital currencies within the global banking and payments systems, as a force for innovation and social and economic good.

“Some of the participants and speakers at the B3 Summit include: Sir John Swan former Premier of Bermuda, Bermuda Minister of Finance Curtis Dickinson, and notable investors and current and former executives from IBM, Stellar, Galaxy Digital, Jewel, Fundstrat, State Street, Wells Fargo, and others.

“With the passage of the Digital Asset Business Act 2018 [DABA] and the Banks and Deposit Companies Amendment Act 2018, Bermuda has developed into an attractive jurisdiction for digital assets businesses, and for a new class of limited fintech banks. With mature and early-stage digital asset ventures streaming into Bermuda to apply for and operate under the new frameworks, a wave of innovation is underway for digital assets businesses on the island, with global businesses looking to set up and operate here.”

“Simply obtaining a bank account can still be a challenge for digital assets businesses around the world today, let alone enabling the critical fiat currency on-ramps and off-ramps that are needed to fuel their growth,” said Chance Barnett, cofounder of the B3 Summit and Jewel.

“Bermuda’s new digital asset-friendly banking and DABA legal frameworks make it the ideal backdrop for global leaders attending the B3 Summit, as well as a strategic jurisdiction for digital assets businesses and innovative fintech companies to domicile. In Bermuda, fintech companies large and small can operate with legal clarity, and in a compliant manner, within a jurisdiction that holds a pristine reputation as a financial center.”

“The B3 Family Office Track: B3 and Rockwell Capital, a family office, have developed an exclusive track for family offices to learn about the blockchain and digital asset space in an educational “no-pitch” environment. The Family Office Track will connect family offices with leaders in a private setting, provide access to the B3 one-day summit, and create a private forum for learning about the opportunities, challenges, and risks of blockchain and digital assets.

“Family office leaders will gain exclusive access to top government and blockchain leaders, insider knowledge of how Bermuda seeks to lead in digital assets, and access to the people making it happen.”
