Car And Motorcycle Collision In Devonshire

[Updated] Police recently responded to a report of a road traffic collision between a car and a motorcycle on North Shore Road near Loyal Hill in Devonshire.

A police spokesperson said, “Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision between a car and a male rider on a motorcycle, that took place on North Shore Road near Loyal Hill in Devonshire.

“The rider has been taken to the hospital with serious leg injuries.

“The motoring public can expect traffic diversions and delays in the area while the scene is being processed.”

Update 5.06pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 7:55am today [April 15th] police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire, near Loyal Hill Road.

“Details remain limited at this time. However, the collision apparently involved a motorcyclist and a car driver, with the rider – said to be a 21-year-old St. George’s man – understood to have sustained a serious leg injury.

“He was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance and at last check this afternoon was still receiving treatment at the hospital.

“Traffic diversions were in effect for approximately two hours while the relevant police personnel processed the scene.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
