Police: Serious Collision In Smiths Parish
[Updated] Emergency services responded to a serious collision tonight April 28] involving a car and a motorcycle in the Flatts area of Smiths parish.
A police spokesperson said, “Police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision that occurred around 8pm Sunday, apparently involving a car and a motorcycle in the Flatts area of Smiths parish.
“Details are limited at this time. However, initial information indicates that the male motorcyclist involved sustained head injuries.
“He has been transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
“Traffic diversions are currently in effect and motorists are advised to expect delays while the scene is processed.
“An update will be provided once more details are available.”
Update 10.51pm: A police spokesperson said, “Traffic diversions are no longer in effect in the Flatts area of Smiths parish.
“An update on the medical condition of the injured rider is anticipated in due course.
“Inquiries continue regarding this collision and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
