St. George’s Marine Expo To Be Held On Sunday
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] along with title sponsor, RUBIS Energy Bermuda, invites the public to come out and enjoy the 4th Annual St. George’s Marine Expo to be held on Sunday, May 5th from 11am – 6pm.
Marine Expo 2019 will showcase the many businesses, organizations and opportunities involved in Bermuda’s Maritime Industry. The Bermuda Powerboat Association [BPBA] will have race boats on display and will also launch their race season for the planned series in St. George’s Harbour with a minimum of 2 races, but could have as many as 4, dependent on the number of registered teams.
Robert Cardwell, Commodore of the BPBA, said, “Viewing the race from Ordnance Island will be spectacular, as all races bring elements of excitement.”
The Expo encourages activity in the Town of St. George by targeting boating and marine enthusiasts from across the island, with a small committee consisting of representatives from BEDC, Bermuda Yacht Services, The St. George’s Foundation, and the Corporation of St. George working hard to make this event an annual success.
According to BEDC MSME Director Ray Lambert, “Every year the event has grown with both attendance and participation. Our goal is to showcase both the Maritime Industry and the Town of St. George. The event is a great opportunity to highlight products and services and we really appreciate the support from all our sponsors”.

And this will be the Endeavour team’s 4th consecutive event and they are excited to provide sailing taster sessions on the water with their Endeavour Graduates and Endeavour Maritime Careers Springboard Programme alumni.
This year’s Marine Expo will be host to 70 participating businesses and organizations with thousands of attendees expected throughout the day.

In the event of inclement weather the “rain date” will be Sunday, May 19th from 11 am – 6pm.
