The format for this Ontario Cup was slightly changed with a longer race format. Horsfield, who had the 2nd fastest lap time of the day out of over 400 participants, held long time pro and reigning provincial champion Peter Glassford’s wheel for the majority of the first lap of two.

Long time top Ontario rider Matthew Martindale later passed Robin, with Robin ultimately finishing two and a half minutes off of Glassford in 1 hour 52 minutes.

Horsfield’s next major events are the Canada Cup in Baie Saint Paul, Quebec in six days’ time. Last year he was the first Bermudian to ride at the World Cup MTB level and he will repeat his participation with performances in Andorra and France in just over a month.
