Flatt’s Victoria, St. David’s Cricket Club, and Somerset Cricket Club all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

Flatt’s Victoria Win by 10 wickets on D/L Method: St. George’s Cricket Club 91/5 Flatt’s Victoria 59/0

Flatt’s Victoria picked up a 10 wicket victory over the St. George’s Cricket Club at the Sea Breeze Over in a rain effected match. Batting first the St. George’s Cricket Club scored 91.5 in their 20 overs, Misheal Payter was the top scorer with 16, while Logan Jones was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers with figures of 3-0-15-2.

In reply Flatt’s Victoria reached 59/0 after 8.1 overs before rain halted play, Kijuan Franks was the top scorer with 28 not out, while Dejon Carey added 18 not out.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 7 Wickets on D/L Method: Cleveland County 165/5 St. David’s Cricket Club 79/3

St. David’s Cricket Club would come away from the Wellington Oval with a 7 wicket victory over Eastern County rivals Cleveland County in a rain effected match. Batting first Cleveland County scored 165/5 in their allotted 20 overs, Dean Stephens was the top scorer with 93, while Sheldon Caesar returned bowling figures of 4-0-34-2.

In reply St. David’s Cricket Club reached 79/3 in 7 overs, Lionel Cann was the top scorer with 35, with Keith Whorms the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 2-0-14-2.

First Division

Somerset Cricket Club Win by 53 Runs: Somerset Cricket Club 178/6 Devonshire Recreation Club 125

Somerset Cricket Club picked up a 53 run victory over the Devonshire Recreation Club at home, Somerset Cricket Club batted first and scored 178/6 in their allotted 20 overs, Jade Morrissey was the top scorer with 76, Chris Dailey was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 4-0-45-3.

In reply the Devonshire Recreation Club scored 125, Freeman Lema was the top scorer with 77, Marcus Johnson was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 4-0-20-3.
