Southampton Rangers, Somerset Cricket Club, Warwick Workmen’s and Cleveland County all claimed victories in this weekend’s First Division and Premier Division cricket action.

Premier Division

Southampton Rangers Win by 5 Wickets: St. David’s Cricket Club 112/9 Southampton Rangers 114/5

At Lord’s in St. David’s the Southampton Rangers picked up a 5 wicket victory over St. David’s Cricket Club. Batting first the St. David’s Cricket Club scored 112/9 in their 20 overs, Allan Douglas Jr was the top scorer with 36, while Malachi Jones was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 4-0-20-2.

In reply the Southampton Rangers scored 114/5, Jones was the top scorer with 53 off 26 balls hitting 2 fours and 5 sixes, George O’Brien Jr was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 4-0-17-2.

First Division

Somerset Cricket Club Win by 9 Wickets: Western Stars 61 Somerset Cricket Club 64/1

The Somerset Cricket Club traveled to the St. John’s Field and defeated Western Stars by 9 wickets. Batting first Western Stars were bowled out for 61, Swayne Campbell was the top scorer with 19, only one other batsman would reach double figures. Jordan DeSilva was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers returning figures of 4-0-12-5.

In reply the Somerset Cricket Club scored 64/1, Greg Maybury was the top scorer with 35, Seth Campbell was the only wicket-taker for Western Stars as he returned figures of 2-0-26-1.

Warwick Workmen’s Win by 7 Wickets: Devonshire Recreation Club 94/6 Warwick Workmen’s Club 95/3

Warwick Workmen’s Club defeated the Devonshire Recreation Club by 7 wickets at the Southampton Oval. Batting first the Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled all out for 94, Drewonde Bascome was the top scorer with 39, while Kenneth Darrell was the pick of the Warwick Workmen’s Club bowlers with figures of 4-0-15-3.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s Club scored 95/3, Kyle Swan was the top scorer with 24, while Chris Dailey was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 1-0-5-1.

Cleveland County Win by 7 Wickets: Flatt’s Victoria 87/7 Cleveland County 91/3

At the Lord’s in St. David’s, Cleveland County came away with a 7 wicket victory over Flatt’s Victoria.
