Gold Cup Football: Haiti Had 19 Shots On Goal

If while watching the Bermuda vs Haiti game you thought that Bermuda’s goalkeeper Dale Eve seemed to be making some good saves, the match statistics back this up, with the stats indicating that Haiti took 19 shots on goal.

Two of the shots went in to give Haiti the 2-1 win, and the statistics state that 10 of Haiti’s other shots were ‘on target’ while seven were ‘off target,’ with Eve putting on a strong performance to help hold Haiti to two goals.

As far as the 10 shots on target, Haiti’s Derrick Etienne had 3 shots, Duckens Nazon had 2 shots, Frantzdy Pierrot had 2 shots, Steeven Saba had 2 shots, while Wilde-Donald Guerrier had one.

Bermuda is listed as having 7 shots on goal, one was actually a goal, and the statistics list one of the other six on target, with five off target.

In other match stats, Bermuda had 46% of the possession while Haiti had 54%; and Haiti had 16 interceptions/steals while Bermuda had 15, with the top contributors to that being Calon Minors with three, while Nahki Wells, Willie Clemons and Donte Brangman had two each.

The official match statistics also indicate that Haiti’s passes had 92% accuracy, while Bermuda recorded a 79% accuracy rate for our 262 passes during the match.
