Bermuda Players Continue CASA Tournament

The 2019 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association [CASA] Individual Squash Tournament continued in Trinidad with Bermuda players taking to the courts.

On Day Two during the Boy’s Singles Under 11 Division Owen Roserea, the number 2 seed, defeated his opponent from St. Vincent and The Grenadines Dru Samuel 9-11, 11-6, 11-7, 11-6,

In the Girls Singles Under 13 Division Celia Robinson went down to Samantha Azan from Jamaica 11-6, 11-3, 11-8, while Taliah Wade went down to Beau Fernandes from Guyana 11-6, 11-4, 11-6, Wade would then defeat Robinson 7-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-5.

In Boy’s Singles Under 13 Division action Andrew Cox defeated his opponent from Guyana Joshua Verwey 11-3, 11-4, 11-1, while Ethan Roserea defeated his opponent from Barbados Dominic Wilson 13-11, 11-6, 11-7. Andrew Cox defeated Jamaica’s Lek Manley-Drummond 11-7, 11-5, 11-4, Roserea then went down to Lukas Thomson from Jamaica 11-6, 11-5, 11-8.

During the Girls Singles Under 17 Division Abigail Brewer went down to Madison Fernandes from Guyana 12-10, 11-7, 11-6, while Ariana Lowther defeated her opponent from Barbados Jahcintha Adams 11-3, 11-6, 11-6. Ariana Lowther went down to Mia Alexa Todd from Jamaica 12-10, 11-8, 11-8.

In the Boys Singles Under 17 Division Charlie Riker defeated his opponent from Guyana Gianni Carpenter 11-4, 11-5, 11-1, while Matthew Elliott went down to Shomari Wiltshire from Guyana 11-4, 11-2, 11-1.

Taylor Carrick won his Boys Singles Under 19 match up against his opponent from Cayman Islands David Pitcairn 11-4, 11-4, 11-7, while Anaya Smith went down 11-3, 11-5, 11-8 to Khamal Cumberbatch from Barbados.
