Phillips Has Mixed Day On European Junior Tour

Bermudian tennis player Daniel Phillips began competing again on the European Junior Tour in the San Michel TE Under 14 Junior Tournament in Malta, winning his singles match, while being defeated in three sets in the doubles.

In the Boys Singles 14 Main Draw, Phillips took on Linas Planciunas from Lithuania where he advanced in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

Phillips teamed up with Uwe Diehl from Belgium, where they went down in three sets. The pair took on Niklas Hoffmann from Belgium and Nikolas Peterka from the Czech Republic, winning the first set 6-1, but Hoffmann and Peterka won the second set 6-3, and third and final set saw Hoffmann and Peterka pick up a 10 – 7 win.
