Police: Man Injured In St. George’s Altercation

Emergency services responded to St. George’s Cricket Club tonight [July 14] after a man was injured in an “altercation involving several individuals”, according to police.

Police spokesperson Robin Simmons said, “Around 11pm Sunday, July 14th police and ambulance personnel responded to a reported disturbance at St. George’s Cricket Club.

“Details are limited at this time. However, early information suggests that an altercation involving several individuals occurred.

“So far it is understood that one man was injured.

“He was transported – conscious and breathing – to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“His injury is not believed to be life threatening but a medical update is anticipated in due course.

“Inquiries are underway and any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 as soon as possible.”
