Sick Cruise Passenger Disembarks In Bermuda

The ‘Norwegian Escape’ cruise ship arrived in Bermuda’s waters earlier than scheduled in order to disembark a passenger who required medical care.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, Meyer Agencies advised the ‘Norwegian Escape’ requested to disembark a passenger on medical grounds, in Bermuda as soon as possible and had increased speed to arrive at 10:30 am, Tuesday 2nd July, to carry out a MEDICO Transfer offshore to the Pilot Boat St David.

“The transfer was safely conducted with the passenger being subsequently taken to KEMH by ambulance. The Norwegian Escape will berth as scheduled on Wednesday 3rd July in the morning.”
