Boccia Players Compete In Parapan Games
Bermuda Boccia players have started competing in the Parapan Games in Peru.
Omar Hayward and Yushae DeSilva-Andrade both took to the court for their Individual BC 1 Division opening matches.
DeSilva Andrade went down 5-2 TO her opponent Eduardo Sanchez from Mexico, Sanchez had built at 5-0 lead after the first two rounds, with DeSilva Andrade picking up 1-0 wins in the final two rounds.
Hayward came from 3-0 down in the first round to be level at 3-3 against Mauricio Ibarbure from Argentina, but in the final round Ibarbure was able to get his second to last ball inside Hayward’s to pick up a 4-3 win.
