Gospel Duo Last Call Featured At Georgia Event

August 18, 2019

Bermudian gospel duo Last Call has attracted an audience which extends well beyond the island’s shore.

Earlier this year Last Call, comprised of singers Tricray Astwood and Adrian Jones, topped the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart when their song Victory was produced and released by Atlanta-based songwriter/producer Fed Jerkins, a Grammy Award winner.

And on Saturday [Aug 17] they took to the stage in Augusta, Georgia to perform in front of thousands of people from the Central Savannah River Area [CSRA], a region encompassing parts of Georgia and South Carolina.

Last Call appeared at Augusta’s fifth annual March For Jesus, an annual inter-denominational event staged by area churches to celebrate their common Christian faith. This year organisers said the event was also aimed at “pushing back the darkness” of violence following recent spikes in crime in the region.

March for Jesus coordinator Dorothy Spaulding pointed out to local TV station WRDW that the event had attracted talent from far afield.

Last Call’s single Victory topped Billboard’s Gospel Airplay Chart earlier this year

“Last Call came in from Bermuda”, she said, adding that “dancers came in from Oklahoma. We have singers from Branson, Missouri and from Atlanta, some cruise ship singers are here.”
