Bermudian goalkeeper Nathan Trott, signed to West Ham but out on loan this season to AFC Wimbledon, is continuing to justify the London team’s early confidence in him says an English sports journalist.

Writing for the Hammers News, a website dedicated to news and analysis about England’s West Ham United Football Club, Jay Williams says Mr. Trott’s first two outings with AFC Wimbledon were highly commendable.

“The Bermuda-born goalkeeper has all the ingredients to become West Ham’s number one in the future,” said Mr. Williams of the August 17 and August 20 games against Accrington Stanley and Ipswich Town. “If he continues to shine at Wimbledon, his time will come. He has a lot of talent and potential.

Mr. Trott joined West Ham in 2016 on the recommendation of Bermudian football legend Clyde Best, a striker for the club in the 1960s and 1970s. He signed a new contract with West Ham in March.

The 20-year-old Bermudian represented England at the under-19 youth level as a squad member at the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
