Premier Burt’s Trip To Mexico Cost $2,445.68

A trip in February 2019 by Premier David Burt to attend the Satoshi Roundtable in Mexico cost $2,445.68, according to a recent listing on the Government’s travel webpage.

The trip duration was listed as from February 1, 2019 – February 3, 2019, and the web page listing said, “Accommodation and transportation were complimentary.

“The Satoshi Roundtable is an exclusive, invite only, event that has been running annually for the last 5 years to which the Premier received a personal invitation as recognition for Bermuda’s leadership in the fintech space. It attracts leading thinkers, influencers and builders in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

“Key influencers such as CEO of leading fintech portfolio companies like Medici and Heads of Blockchain of from companies like JP Morgan. It was an incredible opportunity to have a casual and productive conversations to get feedback on Bermuda’s progress, what we can do to advance our efforts and where the industry is going.

“It also lead to promising leads such as Reserve.org who incorporated and have begun the process of applying for licenses on the island as well as others who we are building relationships with and encouraging them to both consider Bermuda as well as evangelize us to others.”
