Two People Stable In ICU After Collisions

The 17-year-old man seriously injured in a jet ski crash on Tuesday [Aug 6] and the 47-year-old man seriously hurt in a separate motorcycle crash on Monday [Aug 5] are both listed in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Driver Unhurt After Car Overturns on Somerset Road Wednesday

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:50pm Wednesday, August 7th police received a report of an overturned car on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Cambridge Road.

“It now appears that the car involved was being driven west along Somerset Road when it struck a wall and overturned in the vicinity of Somerset MarketPlace.

“The driver and sole occupant, said to be a 58-year-old Sandys parish man, was not hurt but attended the hospital as a precaution.

“There were traffic delays in the area for approximately an hour until the damaged car was towed away.

“Any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Teen Seriously Injured in Marine Incident Tuesday Remains in ICU

“At last check this morning [August 8th] the 17-year-old local male seriously injured in a Jet Ski crash that occurred around 6pm Tuesday, August 6th in the Robinson’s Marina, Somerset Bridge area was listed in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are still encouraged to call Constable Joshua Boden at the Marine Unit on 247-1770 as soon as possible.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Store Hill Crash Remains in ICU

“At last check this morning [August 8th] the 47-year-old male rider seriously hurt in a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred around 8:55pm Monday, August 5th on Store Hill in Smith’s parish was listed in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

“Any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information are still encouraged to call Constable Gregory Stienlet on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
