Video: Sunday Aug 4th ‘Good News’ Spotlight

The island’s Cup Match celebrations taking place, Rachel Sawden’s book Runaways winning the Chick-Lit category in the National Indie Excellence Awards, Lavarr Raynor, Gregory Dean, and Marvin Burchall joining the ownership team of Flanagan’s, Conor Sinclair being selected as the AXA XL Scholar, and Jessica Lewis winning medals in Montreal were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, the Bermuda Hockey Academy won the 4Goals Cup in Boston, Bermudian footballer Nia Christopher and her Premier Navy team were crowned Champions, St. George’s won the Ocean View Cup Match Classic, the Public Service Bursary Awards were presented, and Governor John Rankin visited the Endeavour Graduate Summer Programme.
