Woman Arrested In Connection With Stabbing
A 19-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of an 18-year-old woman, which occurred at around 12:30am on Sunday, August 25th in Southampton.
A police spokesperson said, “A 19-year-old woman believed to be from Paget has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of an 18-year-old Devonshire woman around 12:30am Sunday, August 25th near Horseshoe Bay beach, Southampton. She remains in police custody at this time.
“The 18-year-old woman’s injuries are not life threatening and apparently the arm injury sustained by an 18-year-old Devonshire man at the same location is not consistent with a stab wound.
“It is believed that he fell on some rocks in the area around the time of the stabbing incident.
“The investigation continues and detectives encourage anyone who has video footage of the stabbing to come forward.
“Any information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
“Witnesses or members of the public with relevant information or video footage of this incident are encouraged to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 247-1744.
“Alternatively, confidential tips can be provided by calling the independent and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477, or by visiting the Crime Stoppers Bermuda website www.crimestoppers.bm.”
