Clarien Donates $95,000 To Local Charities

Clarien Bank has donated $95,000 to a host of education, health and youth based charities on the Island in support of its mission to enhance the Bermuda community.

In total, eleven not-for-profit organisations will receive financial support from Clarien including: Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning, Bermuda Equestrian Federation, Bermuda Cancer & Health Center, Bermuda Kappa League, Bermuda Youth Rugby [RFU], BSMART, Knowledge Quest, The Coalition for the Protection of Children, Tomorrow’s Voices, Young Men’s Social Club and YouthNet. The donations were made through The Clarien Foundation, a charitable trust that oversees all charitable efforts and donations made by the bank.

Clarien Bank Donates $95,000 To Local Charities Sept 2019

“At Clarien, we are committed to investing in the lives of those in our community,” said Ian Truran, Chief Executive Officer at Clarien Bank.

“We believe that providing underserved people and families in Bermuda with access to educational resources, healthcare and other areas of support will ultimately improve their chances of living a healthy, productive and successful life in the future.

“That’s why we are delighted to have this opportunity to support these 11 worthy not-for-profit organisations on the Island. We look forward to seeing the noticeable difference these programmes and services can make in the lives of everyday people and are proud to continue serving as a responsible corporate citizen in Bermuda.”

Earlier this year, Clarien provided a financial boost of $106,000 to six registered charities on the Island, as part of its annual giving programme. The latest round of donors were on hand today [Thursday, September 26] for a check presentation and included:

  • Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning – $10,000.00
  • Bermuda Equestrian Federation – $2,500.00
  • Bermuda Cancer & Health – $10,000.00
  • Bermuda Kappa League – $5,000.00
  • Bermuda Youth Rugby – $5,000.00
  • BSMART – $10,000.00
  • Knowledge Quest – $20,000.00
  • The Coalition for the Protection of Children – $10,000.00
  • Tomorrow’s Voices – $10,000.00
  • Young Men’s Social Club – $2,500.00
  • Youth Net – $10,000.00
