With Hurricane Humberto now having moved on from Bermuda – and the island remaining on a state of alert due to Hurricane Jerry — clean up work continues, and the photos below offer a look at the conditions and some of the damage remaining around the island this afternoon [Sept 20], with some trees still down, houses seen with roof damage and more. I’m very interested in knowing exactly how close the eye wall of Humberto was on passing and how far out the hurricane force winds extended.
It seems as though the west end/side of the island took the brunt of this and I have heard people say that the worst they experienced was actually after the barometer had started rising .
