Harbour Swim Team Compete In Canada

The Harbour Gold Squad finished their week of fall training with an outstanding showing at the Gus Ryder Memorial Swim Meet.

The Gold Squad’s swimmers shone in the Etobicoke Olympium Pool in Canada, competing in the first day of the Gus Ryder S.C. Invitational Memorial Cup.

All 13 & Over swimmers improved their distance events, swimming Personal Bests.

In the 13-14 Girls 400 Freestyle, Emma Kittleson finished 20th, in 5:00.71, dropping 5:45 secs, while Caitlin Coleman finished 22nd, swimming 5:02.41, dropping 15:32 secs and Lindsay Scherer was 27th in 5:05.37 dropping 7:87 secs.

In the 13-14 Boys Freestyle, Brandon Adkins, swam a 4:26.82, finishing 7th while dropping 8:18 secs, this time was only 1 second off a AAA, in the 15 & Over Boys, Finn Moseley finished 6th, in 4:20.05, dropping 23.45 secs, both boys swam Ontario Championships Qualifying Standards.

In the 13-14 Girls 400 IM, Giada Dudley-Pun finished 2nd in 5:20.68, dropping 11:36 secs, Myeisha Sharieff was 3rd in 5:24.35, dropping an astounding 30.80 secs, and Josephine Duerden finished in 4th in a time of 5:43.43 in her first time swimming this event. Dudley-Pun and Sharieff hit Ontario Championship qualifying times in the event.

In the 15 & Over Girls, Alyson Scherer finished first in 5:31.05, dropping 18:53 secs.
