Learn Differently School Fair On October 23

October 7, 2019

The Learn Differently School Fair will be held on October 23rd from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.

A spokesperson said, “Disability Awareness month which takes place every October is a time used to increase and educate peoples understanding of learning disabilities and provide options and resources to help our children reach their full potential in an ever changing local and global community.

“A group of schools tailored to youth with Learning Disabilities from the United States will be hosting the 2019 Learn Differently School Fair as an annual event for the Annual Learning Disabilities Awareness Month [October].

“Representatives from some of the leading schools who offer both academic year and summer programs for students diagnosed with learning disabilities will be on hand to discuss their programs in depth. And how they can work with you and your child.

“No two children are alike just like no two schools are alike. At the Learn Differently School Fair there will be schools which are adapted to help students unlock their full potential. If your child has been diagnosed with a learning difference [LD] and is academically frustrated, there is an answer.

“Parents with children with learning disabilities, caregivers, teachers and people who would like to learn more about resources for children with LD’s are invited to come. This event is free and open to the public on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.

“The fair will showcase the services available to students who learn differently. This is a great opportunity to learn about and connect with specialized schools and resources.

“A diverse mix of exhibitors will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about services such as educational supports, financial planning and advocacy services that are geared toward children, young people, and adults, as well as their parents and families.

“Participants will include Forman School, The GOW School, Maplebrook School, Riverview School, The Glenholme School, The Greenwood School, Eaglehill School, Oxford Academy and Landmark School

“Light Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Local Coordinator, Kim Caisey of K.I.M.’s List, via customer service email info@kimslistbda.com.”
