Multiple People Injured In Separate Collisions

There were a number of collisions over the weekend, resulting in people being transported to hospital for treatment.

Male Motorcyclist & Male 50cc Scooter Rider Collide in Southampton

A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:10am Sunday, October 13th police, fire and ambulance personnel were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Middle Road in Southampton near Hawthorn Lane.

“It appears that a male motorcyclist and a male 50cc scooter rider traveling in opposite directions along Middle Road collided in the vicinity of the Wok Express.

“The motorcyclist, believed to be a 25-year-old Paget man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of an apparently serious but non-life threatening leg injury.

“It is believed that the male 50cc scooter rider was not seriously hurt. Both vehicles involved were damaged. The scene was processed and inquiries continue.

“Any witnesses are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Motorcyclist Hurt in Hamilton Parish Crash Treated & Discharged

“Around 10pm Saturday, October 12th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Paynters Road.

“It appears that the motorcyclist involved, said to be a 48-year-old Southampton man, struck a wall while attempting to negotiate a bend in the road.

“He was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated for his injuries and later discharged.

“Any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Two Men, One Female Injured After Motorcycle & 50cc Scooter Collide

“Around 9:30pm Saturday, October 12th police, fire and ambulance personnel were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick near the junction with the Railway Trail.

“Details remain limited at this time. However, it appears that two men on a motorcycle – both believed to be 25-years-old – were traveling along the Railway Trail and a female 50cc scooter rider was traveling along Cobbs Hill Road when the collision occurred.

“All three were injured and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“Traffic diversions were in effect for approximately three hours while the scene was processed.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Male Motorcyclist Hurt in Collision With Car on Par-La-Ville Road

“Around 6pm Friday, October 11th a collision occurred on Par-La-Ville Road in the City of Hamilton.

“It now appears that a motorcyclist traveling behind a car on Par-La-Ville Road struck the car as the car driver attempted to turn into a garage on The Royal Gazette’s property.

“The rider, said to be a 42-year-old Pembroke man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of facial injuries that were apparently not life threatening.

“The car driver, said to be a 55-year-old St. George’s woman, was not hurt.

“However, both vehicles were damaged and traffic was diverted while the scene was processed.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses are encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
