Lots of things can sound like single gunshots. A big plank of wood dropping at once etc. Only people who have gun experience, obviously overseas or military, really know what a gunshot sounds like in person and in real life. I work outdoors and often hear things that sound like gunshots but they are not. Just saying. Because you dont want to waste the police time and effort etc when actual culprits could be elswhere. Maybe the police should do a little public edu. op to teach people how to identify weaponry. Also diff gun types sound diff n you could have a silencer.
