Court: Man Charged With Multiple Sex Offences

A man is facing multiple charges of sexual offences against two girls, with the offences allegedly occurring back in the 1990s.
The offences allegedly took place from June 1992 to June 1997 against two girls who were under-14 at the time.
The 55-year-old man, who cannot be named at this stage for legal reasons, appeared in Magistrates Court and was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Among the alleged offences are two counts of unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 14, and attempted unlawful carnal knowledge of both girls.
He was granted $5,000 bail with one like surety and is not to have any contact with the complainants.
His next court appearance is scheduled for December.
