First & Premier Division Football Results

Footballers in the Premier and First Division were all in action this weekend, with North Village Rams, Devonshire Cougars, Dandy Town Hornets, and Somerset Trojans all earning wins, while three other matches ended in draws.

First: Devonshire Colts 1 St. David’s 1

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Colts and St. David’s drew 1 – 1. After a scoreless first half, Jahkeylo Burgess scored from the edge of the box in the 47th minute to give the Devonshire Colts the lead, but a foul in the box eight minutes later was converted by Nasaje Anderson for St. David’s.

First: St. George’s Colts 2 Flanagan’s Onions 2

At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts needed an injury time penalty converted by Jahron Dickinson to earn a 2 – 2 draw against the Flanagan’s Onions. After a scoreless first half, David Signor gave the St. George’s Colts the lead when he scored from a free kick from some distance out, the Flanagan’s Onions would then get goals from Treshun Smith and Callon Burns to take the lead, until Dickinson stepped up.

First: Wolves 1 Young Men Social Club 1

At the Garrison Field, Wolves and Young Men Social Club played to a 1 – 1 draw. Kevin Arruda scored for Young Men Social Club, while Tyree Robinson scored for Wolves.

Premier: North Village Rams 1 Southampton Rangers 0

The lone goal in this game came in the 20th minute when Keishen Bean scored from the penalty spot to earn the North Village Rams a 1 – 0 win over the Southampton Rangers.

Premier: Devonshire Cougars 2 Somerset Eagles 1

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Cougars edged the Somerset Eagles 2 – 1. Elisha Darrell scored the lone goal of the first half to give the Devonshire Cougars the lead, but Anwar Telford equalized for the Somerset Eagles in the 59th minute. Drewonde Bascome having come on in the 75th minute scored the winner in the 86th minute.

Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 3 Boulevard Blazers 1

At the St. John’s Field, Kwame Steede, Lynn Emery and Jahkari Furbert all scored a goal each for the Dandy Town Hornets as they defeated the Boulevard Blazers 3 – 1, Ian Coke scored the lone goal for the visitors.

Premier: Somerset Trojans 2 X-Road’s 1

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the Somerset Trojans picked up their second straight win of the season defeating X-Road’s 2 – 1. Jaden Rattery-Smith gave the home team the lead in the 3rd minute and twenty minutes later Dion Stovell doubled the Somerset Trojans lead. Andre Burgess pulled a goal back for X-Road’s in the 71st minute, but they cpuld not find the equalizer.
