Motorcyclist Injured In Warwick Collision

Emergency services responded to a collision at the junction of Middle Road and Khyber Pass in Warwick tonight [Nov 12] involving a car and a motorcycle which resulted in the motorcyclist being injured and transported to hospital.

BPS Corporate Communications Manager Gary Moreno said, “At around 8:59 p.m. Tuesday 12th November 2019, police and first responders were dispatched to a two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a car at the junction of Middle Road and Khyber Pass in Warwick.

“Reports are that the car was traveling east on Middle Road when the driver made a right turn onto Khyber Pass and was struck by a motorcycle ridden by an eighteen year old male who was attempting to overtake another vehicle headed west on Middle Road.

“The motorcyclist sustained what were described as non life threatening injuries. He was alert at the scene and transported to hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

“Traffic was diverted over Longford Road and St. Mary’s Road as the area where the collision occurred was cordoned off while the scene was processed.

“There were several eyewitnesses to this road traffic collision and anyone with information is asked to call the main police number on 295-0011.”
