A Skippy Kick martial arts tournament was held yesterday [Nov 3], with winners emerging in a number of categories.
A spokesperson said, “Competitors at the Skippy Kick martial arts tournament were concentrated in the junior forms divisions, which were quite competitive. There was one triple crown winner, Will Spriggs, who placed first in forms, weapons and sparring.
“Other forms gold medalists were Andrea McKey [black belt women and weapons], Nico Davis [novice boys under 16], Fancie Bowens-Tucker [intermediate girls under 10], and Callahj Simons [intermediate girls under 16 and grand champion].
“The winner in the other contested sparring division was Davonte Richardson.
