Bermuda Swimmers Win Medals In Florida

Bermuda swimmers from Warwick Academy recently concluded competing in the Speedo Winter Age Group Championships in Florida, winning seven medals.

The group’s medal total included one gold, three silver, and three bronze. Jack Harvey was the star of the show, collecting one gold and two silver medals over the tournament.

Harvey won the 15 – 16 Men’s 100 Yard Backstroke gold medal by touching the wall in a time of 52.06.

Clocking a time of 1:51.99, Harvey won the silver medal in the 15 – 16 Men’s 200 Yard Backstroke; he also captured the silver medal in the 15 – 16 Men’s 50 Yard Backstroke final, touching the wall in a time of 24.69.

Brian Desmond won the 15 – 16 Men’s 500 Yard Freestyle silver medal when he was clocked a time of 4:37.76.

During the 15 – 16 Men’s 50 Yard Freestyle, Caleb Ingham won the bronze medal by achieving a time of 21.61.

Taylor White captured the 15 – 16 Women’s 200 Yard Backstroke bronze medal when she was clocked in a time of 2:09.00.

Desmond won the 15 – 16 Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle bronze medal when he recorded a time of 1:43.49.
