Heron Bay Wins Festival Of Trees Competition

Students who decorated a Christmas Tree at Dockyard helped Heron Bay Primary school to win $2,500, as the school received the most votes in the Festival of Trees competition organised by the West End Development Corporation at the Royal Naval Dockyard.

Ten schools each decorated a tree in The Mall and WEDCO’s Marketing and Events Manager, Stephanie Rodill, said: “Every tree was a winner, they all looked great. Many congratulations to Heron Bay and we hope to see you taking part next year!”

  • First Place – $2,500: Heron Bay Primary
  • Second Place – $1,500: St David’s Primary
  • Third Place – $1,000: Bermuda Institute
  • Fourth Place – $500: Whitney Institute
  • Fifth Place – $500: Mount Saint Agenes Academy
  • Honorable Mention – $250: Warwick Academy
  • Honorable Mention – $250: West End Primary
  • Honorable Mention – $250: Paget Primary
  • Honorable Mention – $250: Port Royal Primary
  • Honorable Mention – $250: Purvis Primary
